What is The SLAMP Story?

SLAMP Lighting has been in business for over 25 years, and in those 25 years, they have become well known for their use of color, geometric shapes, and special effects. The company was first founded by Robert Ziliani in 1992, and SLAMP immediately found success and recognition among top designers in Italy. Their first collection was released in 1994, and since then, the company has been deemed one of the most represented brand names in decorative designer lighting.

Since its conception, SLAMP Lighting has partnered with famous international designers to cultivate the brand’s unique look. Some of the most famous designers include Adriano Rachele, Zanini de Zanine, Marc Sadler, Lorenza Bozzoloi, and Bruno Rainaldi. Each of these designers have their own motifs and style that they bring into their designs, and when they partner with SLAMP, they are able to blend their personal styles with the established aesthetic and quality of SLAMP Lighting.

SLAMP is primarily known for their use of interesting, innovative materials and how they use those materials to create their brand’s iconic style. Some of the materials like Opalflex and Lantiflex are patented to SLAMP and make their lights immediately recognizable as works of art. Although that itself is noteworthy enough, it’s also key to SLAMP that these materials are environmentally friendly. All the materials used in their lamps can be recycled and reused. Their fixtures also utilize a cold industrial manufacturing process, which means no harmful byproducts are released in production.

Where is SLAMP Lighting Based In?

SLAMP’s headquarters is based just outside of Rome in a new creative hub that was established in 2019. All of their lights are handmade by master craftspeople in Italy, which makes their lights stand out artistically, stylistically, and personally.
