Since its creation in 1987, Tech Lighting has had a focus and drive towards developing new technologies for lighting. However, aside from challenging the norms of creating lighting, they also established key partnerships with lighting designers and interior designers to meet their specific wants and needs. Visual Comfort Modern, formerly Tech Lighting, has a core team of designers that bring their iconic visions to life. These designers include AvroKO (a design firm that has been around for twenty years now), Clodagh, Kelly Wearstler, Mick De Giulio, and Sean Lavin. Although all these designers are key members of the design team, it’s Lavin who is the company’s chief design officer. With his experience and draw to sophisticated, modern designs and his collaboration with the other designers, Tech Lighting has grown to produce lights in many different styles and appearances.
To start off with, the Modern Collection features lighting for both indoor and outdoor settings. The most popular outdoor lights include outdoor wall lights, wall sconces, pendant lights, column lights, and landscape lighting. All these variations allow you to perfectly adorn an outdoor space, but their indoor lights will give you that same freedom for the rest of your home. Some favorite indoor lights include chandeliers, pendant lights, flush mounts, wall sconces, picture lights, and vanity lights.
