What is The Koncept Lighting Story?

The Koncept Lighting story begins long before the company was ever conceived. That tale begins with Peter Ng, the current head of the product design team and key visionary behind the brand’s most stunning lighting fixtures. Though he was native to Hong Kong, he studied in Texas in the early 1970s. Even after he returned to Hong Kong, he recalled the advancing technology and aesthetics of the United States. Inspired, he devoted himself to becoming an industrial designer for firms throughout Asia. 

In 2002, his sons adopted his entrepreneurial spirit and launched their own brand with Koncept Technologies. Peter and his two sons, Kenneth and Edmund, became the design trio of the company. The two sons were both engineers by training, which was monumental in bringing all their design visions to a reality. The lighting industry recognized the brand’s beauty and functionality in its first years and awarded the brand with many design and innovation awards. Today, Koncept Lighting continues to be known for their energy saving LED lights and sleek designs.
