The story of ET2 Lighting ties directly to Maxim Lighting. In 1965, a founder of Maxim Lighting named Jacob Sperling immigrated to the United States and used his student visa to create superior lighting and amazing customer service. He studied aeronautics during the day and spent his nights crafting lights in his garage, utilizing the techniques from his day-job with a lighting retailer. Maxim Lighting was born and as his success grew, Jacob invited his brother Avi Sperling to join him. By 1975, the brothers offered over 150 unique lighting products and greatly expanded their workforce and warehouse size.
There were many steps in the company’s growth over the next several decades, including opening an office in China, receiving access to new materials and potential, and launching the Maxim Lighting Builder’s Program to give lighting access to the construction and home building industry. In 2004, Maxim launched ET2 Contemporary Lighting - a branch that introduced sleek, modern design to commercial and hospitality industries along with residential settings. Since its founding, ET2 Lighting has maintained its original philosophy of creating innovative lighting solutions that serve as functional art.
The designers of ET2 Lights work within that company or within the greater Maxim Lighting Group. While that means that the specific designers often remain nameless, their work speaks for itself in terms of their trending designs, attention to detail, and masterful construction.
